After receiving a compensation payment, in april, for a minor car accident last year, I have decided to go on a camping trip this summer. My first step was to buy myself a cool little car, to replace the cool big car I had before, so instead of a 1985 BMW 525e I will be taking a 1973 BMW 2002 touring, as you can probably tell, I like my older cars. They are cheaper to buy, easier to work on & (for me) cheaper to insure. It's a bit of a shed, but it's pretty solid where it matters & I will do my best to make sure it's completely roadworthy & up to the job, before I head off.
So far I'm only at the equipment buying stages of my trip, I'm intent on doing the whole thing on a budget, as every penny I save means I can stay that little bit longer on my holiday. I have very few ties here, and may even be considering a new start elsewhere as a possible result of this trip.
I've set my heart on going to France for the bulk of the trip, but will be having a test run in England before I go (probably in my twin brother's back garden!)
